Changes to a will

A will, once made, can be changed as per the desire of the person making the will. It is important that a will is reviewed at pre defined time intervals to evaluate the need for making changes, if any.

The following circumstances definitely warrant a change in the will –

1. Divorce

2. Remariage

3. Additions in the family (birth or adoptions)

4. Demise of family members or beneficiaries or executors

5. Addition or deletion of assets

In case only minor changes are required to be done in a will, a codicil can be executed or in case of major changes a new will can be executed.
